How to look up my Apple MacBook model?

Click the Apple icon in the top-left corner of your Macbook screen. This will bring up a drop-down menu. Pick the top option: About This Mac

You'll see several pieces of information, including which MacBook model and year you have, and a few other details. You'll also find your Serial Number located in this window

How to look up my Apple iPad model?

There are 2 ways.
Go to Settings-General-About and look for “Model Number” and tap the model number and you will be able to see a model number starting with A and followed by four numbers, this is the model number. Example A1652

on the Bottom, back of the iPad, your will see a model number starting with A and followed by four numbers, this is the model number. Example, A1652

How to lookup capacity
Go to Settings-General-About and look for “Capacity”

How do I know if my iPad is Wi-Fi only or Wi-Fi+Cellular?
Wi-Fi only models have an alphanumeric serial number and Wi-Fi+Cellular have a 15-digit numeric-only number.
Go to Settings-General-About and look for “Service Provider”

How to erase and reset my MacBook to factory default?

This feature requires macOS Monterey or later on a Mac with Apple silicon or a Mac with the Apple T2 Security Chip. Learn what to do if you can't use Erase All Content and Settings.

macOS Ventura or later
- From the Apple menu in the corner of your screen, choose System Settings. - Click General in the sidebar. - Click Transfer or Reset on the right. - Click Erase All Content and Settings.

macOS Monterey

- From the Apple menu in the corner of your screen, choose System Preferences. - From the System Preferences menu in the menu bar, choose Erase All Content and Settings

An erase assistant then opens. Follow the on-screen instructions to erase your Mac and restore it to factory settings. Before the erase begins, you will see a summary of all the settings, media, data and other items that will be erased or turned off.

- When asked to sign in with your administrator credentials, enter the password that you use to log in to your Mac. - You may be asked to enter your Apple ID password so your Mac can sign out of Find My. - You may be asked if you want to back up your Mac before resetting it. If you want to do that, you can open Time Machine and back up to an external storage device. - Finally, you will be asked to click Erase All Content & Settings to confirm that you want to proceed.

How to erase and reset my iPhone/iPad to factory default?

The process is simple, especially now you've backed up your phone.

- Go to Settings app > Tap General > Scroll down to Reset
- Tap Erase all content and settings
- You will be prompted to enter your passcode/Face ID/fingerprint
- Tap 'Erase iPhone/iPad'
- Enter Apple ID password
- Your iPhone/iPad will now reset.

Once you've done this, your phone will take a few minutes before prompting you to set it up as a new device.

How do I back up my Apple iPhone/iPad data?

For an Apple iPhone or iPad, backing up your data through iCloud is the safest and easiest way.
-To do this, turn on iCloud Backup and it will automatically start.
-If iCloud is already connected, simply select the Back Up Now option in settings.

The alternative option is to connect to iTunes on your PC.

How do I turn off Apple iCloud and accounts (Find My)?

From your PC – Turn off iCloud
- Log into icloud.com/find with Apple ID and password
- Select device from All Devices drop-down and select your device (top, centre of screen)
- A device pop up box will appear.
- Click Remove from Account
- Confirm by clicking Remove
- The Device must be switched off, otherwise the 'Remove from Account' or 'Remove (x)' option will not appear.

From your mobile device or your other Apple device with the same Apple ID
- Tap Settings > [your name], then scroll down.
- Tap any device name to view that device's information
- Scroll down and Tap [Remove from Account]
- If required, enter your Apple ID password &/or input your 2FA code.
