Corporate responsibility

Environmental responsibility

As a leading IT aggregator in Australia, our responsibility to make a positive difference in the environment is important. We are conscious of the impact we make as our business grows and evolves and we are committed to forming sustainability practises to address this.

Our initiatives

Sustainable Icon

Sustainable packaging

Synnex is focussed on reducing the environmental impact of our packaging. We aim to work with suppliers to maintain an ethical and social standard in the supply chain.
In October 2010, we became a signatory to the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO) and are committed to the APCO key principles of packaging sustainability.
Our sustainability packaging strategies are integrated into our business policies and procedures and our efforts are guided by our Green Procurement Policy and our 3 Year APCO action plan.

Our goals:

  • To optimise packaging material efficiency for our products;
  • To optimise recycled and renewable content for our products;
  • To be in line with the Sustainable Packaging Guidelines (SPG) or equivalent;
  • To recycle electronic waste in accordance to the National Television and Computer Recycling Scheme;
  • To collaborate with our suppliers to enhance our sustainability outcomes by reusing environmentally sustainable packaging and giving preference to companies with sustainability policies in place;
  • To optimise B2B packaging by shipping goods directly from suppliers to end customers.
