All eyes on the sky with Synnex Cloud Automation platform     

Synnex is always on the lookout for new ways to help channel partners meet their customers’ demands for new and improved technology and business solutions. That’s why, as part of the Synnex Alliance 2016 roadshow, we conducted briefing sessions with our channel partners on the new Synnex Cloud Automation platform. If you missed the sessions, here’s a quick overview of what was discussed:

The Cloud Automation platform, which we introduced in March 2016, is designed to help channel partners tap into the predictability and scalability of managed services and cloud, particularly as more businesses look to move away from legacy on-premise technologies.

Salil Arora and Michael Tea, our resident Synnex cloud experts, discussed some of the unique features of the Cloud Automation platform. For example, it lets channel partners log in to one platform to create, provision and manage client service bundles to scale, with immediate checkout capabilities. The platform also lets partners manage billings from all clients, in one location and provides updates when it is time to renew client subscriptions.

As Salil Arora noted during the Roadshow sessions, the need for upfront CAPEX payments is diminishing. In response, channel value can be derived from staying close to current customers, and identifying new revenue models that let resellers provision more tailored IT services and support following the initial sale. This is where the Cloud Automation platform comes in.

The Cloud Automation platform expands the opportunities for resellers within their own customer base. By providing channel partners with the unified location, tools and training to execute the on-premise as-a-service models for clients, resellers can move up the stack and become trusted IT advisors across the customer’s entire lifecycle.

Cloud vendors currently signed onto the platform include Microsoft (Office 365), SkyKick, BitTitan, Barracuda, Cirrus, MYOB, Act-On, UDOCX, ABBYY, Azure, IBM Softlayer, and Rackspace.
