Update from SYNNEX CEO, Kee Ong

Thank you for your support during what has been and continues to be challenging times for all of us.

In response to the current Victoria state of disaster announcement and the new government regulations, I would like to update and reassure all our valued partners, Synnex is fully operational and continuing to serve you.

The health and safety of our staff, customers, contractors, and the wider community remains our top priority, just as it has always been. To ensure we are following the government guidelines, we have made slight adjustments to our operations which will have minimum impact to your business.

Hours of operation

All our office staff are working remotely and will continue to support you as they have. Please continue to contact them on their landline or by email. Our 1300 100 100 line is operational.

All orders can be placed and managed online through our B2B platform.

Logistics

With the current Stage 4 restrictions, our Melbourne logistics centre is following the Victorian Government CovidSafe direction and will be working in a reduced capacity. Some Melbourne workload have been shifted to our Sydney logistics centre to offset the Melbourne reduction. Our Perth warehouse will continue to support our WA customers.

We expect to have minimal impact to deliveries while we adjust. We are working on prioritising deliveries to essential businesses as defined by the Victorian government. Our Sydney logistics centre and Perth warehouse are currently operating at normal condition without any restrictions.

All pick up services remain suspended until further notice.

Face covering requirements – Victoria

Following the Victorian government guidelines, all staff and visitors to the Synnex Melbourne site must wear a face covering that covers their mouth and nose at all times unless a lawful exception applies. Mask disposal bins are located at the front entrance of the building for safe masks disposals.

Additional safety measures

In addition to social distancing measures, we are continuing frequent cleaning and disinfecting of all high contact areas and hard surfaces at all our sites. Screens are also in place at our pickup and goods receive counters.

We will continue to work closely with the Department of Health to ensure the most effective protection measures are put in place.

Keeping connected

We know how important it is to keep connected, so we have been bringing to you insightful webinars in partnership with our vendors to help your business stay relevant. If you have not attended these, I encourage you to visit our webinars page or access our on demand resources.

Our team members are working hard to ensure we are here to fully support you and we will continue to increase our stock and logistics capacity to help minimise any disruptions to your business.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Working together, we will get through this and come out stronger.

Best wishes and stay safe,

Kee Ong
